Lyra

Meet Lyra - Lyra, meet the blogosphere. This is my nieces' "puppy". She's so lively and always looking for fun. However, she's not a cooperative model. Such a diva! If I remember correctly, we finally got this pose by tempting her with a plate of my sister-in-law's delicious triple-stacked enchiladas.

I thought Lyra would make a great subject for this week's Camera Critters. Be sure to visit!

Who's a good girl?

I think this photo is wonderful. The light and shadows, the composition... I don't think it could be improved. Such a wonderful sense of dogginess about it too.

And, mmm... triple-stacked enchiladas... if you ever need an uncooperative model again, I'm there. ;-)

This is such a beautiful photo! Dogs are my favorite animal (which would be why I have three Border Collies). GREAT shot!

I can just see the thought bubbles floating up from her poke-able nose. Inside the largest cloud is the steaming tortilla filled and covered with all sorts of amazing goodies. Yum yum yum

Great photos. I have just bought myself a Nikon SLR and am having a go at photographs, still an awful lot to learn but I am enjoying it.

I love the lighting in this photo! I would love to take some nice photos of our cat, but she is not like-minded.

Mucho Gracia!

My nieces are very proud of Lyra. It's much easier to take a good photo of a beautiful subject (proof - have you seen my self-portrait - yikes!)

Chris - good for you! The best advice I've gotten is to take some pictures everyday!

Jebediah - I've not heard of it, but I will check it out.
