Painting Hidden Lake

While hiking the Hidden Lake trail in Glacier National Park, we came across this painter painting the lake. What a skill to have! I've considered taking a painting or drawing class. I don't think that I would be any good, but I do think that some of the art theory taught would be very useful when composing a photo.

Make sure to visit Sepia Scenes.

I love this shot. I thought it was historical at first. What fun, I too would love to take an art class someday. I used to paint quite a bit as a teenager, I haven't painted anything in years though. You should take a class, I have a feeling you'd enjoy it.

Although I haven't drawn in years, and never could paint, the many classes I took do help me with layout and composition. Nice capture, it does have a historic look.

So big scene but such a small canvas. I would want to paint something bigger there.

Great capture. I also thought it was an old shot.
