Oh what glorious red rock.
It's really amazing and mind boggling how trees grow on rocks like this. There's plenty of them in Yosemite growing in granite/rocks.

Is that snow in the rock crevasses? I tried to enlarge but couldn't. Beautiful perspective. I, too, love Garden of the Gods - it's a great place to bike.

Garden of the Gods is indeed very spectacular. As Barb says, its a great place to bike. Also, hiking, running and horseback riding.
I would love to get to Australia - it is high on my list.

The posts tell me that you've hit a resonant chord. That's testimony enough!
I'd consider 'printing' by increasing the contrast in the red rocks, which are somewhat flat. In this pic, I'm really happy with the unusual position of the focal point. But on looking carefully, I'd be careful about the diagonal line through the rock. It leads EXACTLY to the lower left corner which violates one of my personal 'rules of composition.'
Russ, I think you're doing a great job here. You have a real eye for the image. I'm hoping the criticism proves helpful and not petty. I'm hoping you spend some time commenting on my pics.
Thanks for the feedback Tim. This is one of those photos that I plan on retaking. Or, reworking.
In the last 10months, I've learned a lot. A lot of my earlier shot tend to be fairly low on contrast.
I agree with you about the line leading out, but, that crop removed a lot of distracting elements. Sometimes it a trade off yeah? I would like to reshoot it from some different angles to see if I could change that...
