Here's another sunset shot from the series that I took at Mueller State Park. The park is just west of Pike's Peak. One cannot see the actual peak in this image, only the western slopes.
Be sure to visit Scenic Sundays before the next sunset.
PS: As is was a drizzly rainy day and I'm a bit of a desert rat, I created a banner for the blog. What do you thing?

Beautiful mountain scene - Love the color! I like your header photo, too, but maybe just a little bigger, though?
As always, wonderful photo. I love it when the sun makes that glowy contast.
I like the new banner very much... it's informative and 'pretty' and it doesn't compete with the photos you are discussing/highlighting in your posts.
Now that you've changed it, I think that your previous header, though a great image, was too strong... I think you understand what I mean but feel free to ask me if you don't!
Very nice picture I like the brightness of the sunshine and the colors.
Oh I like this a lot. I like the lighting.
Beautiful photo.
And I think the new banner is perfect.
Another face of sunset kissing the face of the foliage. The picture speaks of your creative

Perfect scenery
Excellent shot! I love the warmth in it. And your banner's really original, too.
Amazing scene. I'd kill to have lighting like that around here at sunset time! I like the new header; it's different!
That gold is such a stunning color!! This picture has such a surreal quality.
